Senior AI & Data Cloud Platform Engineer

- The Senior Cloud AI & Data Platform Engineer develops, optimizes and maintains enterprise Azure Data & AI Platform services supporting data engineering, analytics, machine learning and AI workloads.
- The role combines cloud platform engineering with practical ML Engineering and Data Engineering responsibilities. In addition to building scalable data platform capabilities, the engineer helps operationalize machine learning models, develops reusable MLOps components and enables Data Scientists to reliably deploy and operate ML solutions in production.
- Build and maintain Azure Databricks solutions
- Develop scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
- Implement and optimize Lakehouse solutions
- Develop Spark applications
- Develop reusable data and AI platform components
- Build and maintain MLOps pipelines using Azure Databricks
- Automate platform, data and ML deployments
- Build CI/CD pipelines for data and machine learning workloads
- Collaborate closely with Data Scientists to transition models from experimentation into production
- 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ML Engineering, Cloud Platform Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing enterprise-scale cloud data platforms, preferably on Azure, AWS, or GCP.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Python and strong SQL skills.
- Strong experience with Databricks, Apache Spark, and distributed/parallel data processing.
- Proven experience designing and developing ETL/ELT pipelines and applying data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
- Experience with modern Data Lakehouse architectures.
- Proven experience with CI/CD and version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and take ownership.
- Excellent professional communication skills in English.
- Experience with ML lifecycle management, MLOps, model deployment, and productionization.
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) in production environments.
- Experience with orchestration and modern data engineering technologies such as Airflow or Apache Iceberg.
- Experience with analytical data platforms, OLAP systems, and data warehousing technologies.
- Experience with NoSQL databases and non-relational data modeling.
- Familiarity with enterprise data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality practices.
- Experience designing and developing APIs and service integrations.
- Relevant Azure, AWS, or GCP certification(s).
